I acted as the Treasurer and Marketing Executive in the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) chapter at Western Carolina University. This organization provides opportunities for communication students to network and gain leadership skills.
My role as Treasurer was to manage all financial activities and fundraising efforts for our chapter. As the Marketing Executive, I created social media content to promote our chapter and events.
Our chapter got to attend the 2023 PRSSA International Conference (ICON) in Nashville, Tennessee!
As Treasurer, I partnered with a local business to host a percentage night, where 10% of the day’s proceeds were donated to support our organization’s trip to ICON 2024 in Anaheim, California.

I designed a promotional flyer for the communication department to persuade current and prospective students to choose communication as their major. The flyer informs the audience of professional development opportunities within each concentration.
